Rome is in shock. The great leader Julius
Caesar of Rome has been killed. He died in
Curia of Pompey, Rome. We don’t know a
lot about the murder, but we know that
Julius Caesar was murdered by rival Roman
senators. The Senators agreed to murder
Caesar on the 15th of March, called in the
Roman calendar the Ides of March. When
Julius Caesar went to the senate-house,
Julius Caesar was murdered with a dagger.
Julius Caesar was stabbed five times. We
know that one of the people that killed
Caesar was Decimus a friend of Julius
Caesar. There have been many rumors
about his death. People found him next to a
pile of blood wearing a purple gown.
Tomorrow morning at 7 am there will be
funeral services at the Roman funeral parlor.

Rumors of His Death
There have been many rumors about this shocking death. The one that sounds the
most likely is yesterday Julius was walking and the Senators came up to him with a
petition, next they grabbed him and then you know the rest. The next rumor was
that because he was really evil towards the end of his life the Senators killed him.
The people of Rome had found out that Julius Caesar’s wife Calpurnia had a
dream that Julius Caesar had been killed. She begged Caesar to stay home, but
his friend who killed him told Caesar not to take it seriously.

Julius Caesar was the emperor of Rome
for five years. Julius Caesar ruled from
October 49 B.C to March 15 44 B.C.
Julius Caesar’s real name was Gaius
Julius Caesar. Julius was born in 100
B.C. Julius Caesar was born in to a
patrician family. Before he was emperor
he was in the Senate. While emperor he
was very close with Marc Antony and
Cleopatra. Through Julius Caesar’s time
as emperor he conquered many places.
During Julius Caesar’s time as emperor
he was a tyrant. That was one of the
reasons Julius Caesar was murdered.
