Genetics
Match each term to its definition. Put the number of the term in the proper
square marked by the letter of its definition. If your answers are correct,
the numerical total will be the same across each row and down each
column.
Definitions:
A. A variation of a trait or gene.
B. Two alleles that are the same. (AA or aa)
C. Two alleles that are different for the same trait. (Aa)
D. A characteristic of an organism that is inherited.
E. The genes of an organism.
F. The physical characteristic of an organism that is determined by its genes.
G. Mendel’s Law that states how individual alleles are separated during
gamete formation (meiosis).
H. Mendel’s Law that states individual traits are inherited separately, not
together.
I. The study of how you inherit specific alleles for a trait and the interaction
of those alleles.
