“The evidence is in: global warming has caused severe floods, droughts, and storms. Degrading Nature increases the likelihood of extreme weather events... Just like smoking increases the likelihood of being diagnosed with lung cancer. This is the world of the effects. This sounds like our world is breaking But we can fix it Welcome to WE ARE NOT JUST ANY OTHER ORGANIZATION … …WE ARE DIFFERENT (R)Evolution is an Organization started by a group of individuals working towards Climate Change Mitigation measures, Wildlife Conservation, Social Service through various platforms. We basically intend to provide opportunities for people who have so long awaited to work for a cause but couldn't come across an opportunity. We believe in providing the best and promoting the cause for the benefit of the society and mankind. We have teamed up with various institutions working towards a common cause. We want to make the best out of what we have. We believe, “You have the power today, to change tomorrow!” AREAS WE ARE WORKING ON • Climate Change Mitigation (CCM) • Wildlife Conservation and Awareness (WCA) • Social Service (SC) CLIMATE CHANGE MITIGATION Climate change mitigation encompasses the actions being taken, and those that have been proposed, to limit the magnitude and/or rate of long-term global warming induced climate change. Climate change mitigation generally involves reductions in human led change factors. EXAMPLES OF MITIGATION • Switching to low-carbon energy sources, such as renewable and nuclear energy, • Expanding forests and other "sinks" to remove greater amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. • Energy efficiency can also play a major role, for example, through improving the efficiency of equipment. WILDLIFE CONSERVATION Wildlife conservation is the practice of protecting endangered plant and animal species and their habitats. Among the goals of wildlife conservation are to ensure that nature will be around for future generations to enjoy and to recognize the importance of wildlife and wilderness lands to humans. Many nations have government agencies dedicated to wildlife conservation, which help to implement policies designed to protect wildlife. Numerous independent nonprofit organizations also promote various wildlife conservation causes Wildlife conservation has become an increasingly important practice due to the negative effects of human activity on wildlife. An endangered species is defined as a population of a living being that is at the danger of becoming extinct because of several reasons. Either they are few in number or are threatened by the varying environmental or predation parameters. SOCIAL SERVICE Through Social service we seek to improve the quality of life and well-being of an individual, group, or community by intervening through research, policy, community organizing, direct practice, and teaching on behalf of those afflicted with poverty or any real or perceived social injustices and violations of their human right. We want to do our bit in helping the society, mankind, the poor and destitute. Major Organizations we work with • Indian Youth Climate Network (IYCN) • Animal Rehabilitation and Protection Front (ARPF) • Street Cause Eforce • Planet 3 Protection Alliance (P3PA) • The Earth Organization (TEO) • UNEP TUNZA Eco Generation • H3-Human Helping Hands WHAT DO THESE ORGANISATIONS DO? INDIAN YOUTH CLIMATE NETWORK The Indian Youth Climate Network (IYCN) refers to the youth organizations in India which aim to raise the voice of Indian Youth on the global platform as South Asia is one of the most vulnerable regions affected by potentially catastrophic climate change & environment issues. IYCN members work to generate awareness and establish consensus on what role India should play in the global debate of climate change, and how it should address its domestic issues. IYCN has “informed youth” as its leaders and program members who have been: 1. Following environmental & climate change policies and making recommendations at state, national and international platforms. 2. Running campaigns aimed at public awareness on climate change impact & causes. In this process, the chapters have been mobilizing & informing thousands of Indian citizens 3. Implementing on-ground projects such as composting & community waste management, rural energy projects, lake clean-ups, herbal/ medicine gardens, etc. PROJECTS OF IYCN • The organization has been working on the following initiatives. • Agents of Change • Rural Energy Project • Climate Leadership Program • Campus Climate Challenge • Climate Solutions Road Tour ANIMAL REHABILITATION AND PROTECTION FRONT The Animal Rehabilitation and Protection Front is a private, non-profit wildlife organization that originated in the mind of engineering student Nihar Parulekar. It rapidly became a platform for wildlife enthusiasts to learn and educate others on the importance of conservation and respect for the natural world. In under 2 years, we have grown from a group of merely 20 wildlife enthusiasts to having a volunteer force of nearly 3000 individuals in 5 different cities across India. The organization is divided into the following Departments • Zee corps • Green rangers • Awareness to action • First aid and rescue squad • Anti-Poaching squad/Project Wild Street Cause Eforce Street Cause is an NGO comprising of students intent on doing their bit for the betterment of society. Within an year from its inception in 2009, it has radically grown from being a local guild of adherents, with the objective of helping the underprivileged and the destitute in any and every way possible, to being an internationally renowned organization. Street Cause has completed over 85 tasks, 1 Project & 2 Fund Raiser Parties in a span of just one and half year. " Our environmental wing is Eforce striving to bring awareness among people in India about the environment. " UNEP TUNZA Eco Generation A dynamic social networking platform offering a range of possibilities for engaging children, their chaperones, youth and sports organizations in order to advance their awareness, role and commitment in environmental conservation and protection. Enhance and facilitate information exchange, communication and resource sharing through Internet, e-learning, videos and other new technologies offered by the platform. Objectives:1. To raise awareness and commitment toward the conservation of the environment from the Tunza members; To facilitate the exchange of information including best practices between members both nationally and internationally; 2. To decrease the proximity between UN experts and members on the platform; 3. To create a platform and a database to showcase best sustainability practices in mass (sport) events. PLANET 3 PROTECTION ALLIANCE Planet 3 Protection Alliance is an NGO which was started by a group of students from various colleges all over Hyderabad. The main reason for starting this NGO is to maintain a balance in the environment. The world is facing a serious environmental crisis thereby giving rise to various natural calamities. The P3PA is an NGO which aims towards spreading awareness among people about the environmental problems people will face if they don't start taking steps towards saving our planet. Some major projects by the P3PA are:• Harithon:- This is a green run being organized for the last three years and it has been very successful. • Saplings Project:-This a program in which the organization undertakes plantation drives. THE EARTH ORGANIZATION The Earth Organization is an international nongovernmental organization which describes itself as "independent, grass roots, international non-profit, conservation and environment organization, with new solutions, committed to the creative, responsible rehabilitation of Planet Earth and the plant and animal kingdoms.“ The organization is registered as an independent non-profit organization in South Africa, with headquarters in Durban, and branches in the USA, France, Canada, Hungary , Slovakia and India.
