Administration or Tourism Management students under Erasmus

The placement is based in the framework of the LLP (Life-Long Learning Program) and the
Erasmus projects of Students Mobility for placements. Therefore the company does not
provide a salary but you will need to participate to the Erasmus program which can cover the
expenses of your placement. The Erasmus grant is managed and organized by the university.
Here is the description of the available placement in Greece:
Students will primarily work as BUSINESS MANAGEMENT TRAINEES on the desk assisting,
analyzing and managing marketing and ecommerce projects. They will create follow up plans, quantity
and quality sales and marketing reports. You will be involved inside the company preparing and
assisting sales and marketing activities. The trainees have the support of a mentor and work
shoulder to shoulder and network with managers and gain real-world experience. The Business
Management Trainee will combine business, marketing, sales. The Business Management Trainee will
combine business, marketing, sales, commercial, relationship building, analytical and presentation
skills willing to develop a knowledge background in sales or marketing at a leading Internet travel
brand. The person will work closely with the managers and implement optimal pricing rules while
monitoring performance on a continuous basis. This position will work closely with the Inventory, Sales
and Product teams to develop a coherent pricing and sort strategy that is aligned with our brand and
suppliers’ objectives. This is a highly analytical role with the opportunity to make a huge impact on the
company’s revenues and interact with senior management.
The following tasks are a sample of what student trainees could be doing:














Conduct thorough competitor research and analysis providing reporting as required to the
Manager in order for us to gain competitive edge within your designated area.
Analyze performance at a variety of levels and communicate drivers and recommendations to
management
Perform competitive benchmarking of company’s pricing and recommend business and
technology solutions to bridge any gaps
Practice yield and revenue management tactics. You will be researching the prices of the
products and provide competitiveness report and analyze weekly rate reports and execute
required strategies as requested
Responsible for after sales consumer research
Collect marketing data and research product information to deliver improved metrics.
Monitor market developments relevant to the market.
Perform daily analysis on sales performance to ascertain areas of positive / poor
performance.
Continually monitor local market trends and competitor activity and performance to
ensure effective reporting to the MD of market trends, pricing, product development
etc. Make recommendations and take appropriate action
Support main team to grow the revenue generated in their markets by working on
initiatives that improve key business metrics by improving the market price and
inventory competitiveness. You will lead ad hoc projects that need to be implemented
in a market.
Periodically review the quality of rates and inventory available and assist the market
manager with the product contract renewal process.
Act as a liaison between the product suppliers and our customer care department to
resolve customer satisfaction cases
Reporting and analysis to support decision making and track market performance.
Responsible for business development and account management in company’s new
markets (in particular Eastern Europe) to support and increase the partner base. This
role requires a proactive, motivated, organized and responsible candidate who is able



to work well in a multinational, fast-paced, team-oriented and entrepreneurial
environment.
Pro-actively identify new potential partners in the travel sector and act as the day-to-day
point of contact for existing partners in the territories
Negotiate deals and sign contracts that bring incremental brand exposure, content,
traffic and/or revenue to company and liaise with marketing and product teams to help
feed the product development process with new partner requirements.
Facilitate completion of all assigned projects adhering to timelines, and meeting all
deadlines. Add hoc project support. Data entry



web-content management activity

Pro-actively contribute ideas and suggestions regarding the website and our product from
interactions with hoteliers, guests and your own knowledge of our products/tools to ensure
that website content is optimised and guest expectations are exceeded

Monitor self-achievement towards content management targets including (a) maintaining hotel
data accuracy via regular spot checks (b) read evaluate and distribute guest reviews website

Attend and participate in team meetings/ workshops

You must be efficient, organized and capable of working on your own pro-active initiative in
carrying out your day-to-day responsibilities, taking pride in; producing high-quality work
deliverables, efficiency in smashing targets, co-ordinating and reporting projects in a concise
and effective manager in line with deadlines, with limited need for supervision.

Demonstrate strong ability to manage competing priorities and multiple projects concurrently

Pro-actively identify and contribute creative and innovative ideas and suggestions to improve
processes and systems.

Collaborate across the company in order to share knowledge and to improve our products and
services.

Advise the Manager of your success in increasing availability and rate parity in the designated
area.

Share all your best practices and knowledge with the team to increase the overall level of the
team work.

