Information about the investments of Oxford University
Any questions about any of the following, please e-mail [email protected], or after June
2006, [email protected]. Or ring 07840 381195.
Summary
Most of the fund management companies I approached only give out their top-ten holdings. However,
the Barclays Global Investor funds all track various FTSE indices. this means that Oxford University
invests in the arms companies, tobacco companies and other dubious characters who appear in the
FTSE indices.
Further companies of note that we definitely invest in include: Barclays / HSBC / British American
Tobacco / GlaxoSmithKline / BP / Shell (See Artemis Income Fund)

Did the original response from the uni contain anymore info than this?
What does 'Goldman Sachs - £ Share Class' refer to? GS didn't seem to recognise the name when I
called.
Who are ISIS in the university? I was directed to them by someone as being responsible for the uni's
investments. Are they the people who gave us this information in the first place?
