Choices for Spelling Homework Activities
1.
Write each word three times in cursive.
2.
Write your words in alphabetical (ABC) order in cursive.
3.
Type your words two times each, and then paste or staple into your
notebook.
4.
Draw pictures to show the meanings of all of your words (label each
picture).
5.
Use all of your words in WELL WRITTEN sentences in cursive.
6.
Using a dictionary, write definitions for ten of your words in cursive.
7.
Make spelling triangles with your words. (you may print)
8.
Write a short story, in cursive, using at least eight of your words.
9.
Make a list of your words, and then write a synonym, or an antonym, or
a rhyming word for each word on your list. Label as to which type of
word you chose to match your list word. (Example: before-after,
antonym)
10.
Look up your words in the dictionary. Write the spelling word and the
two guide words found at the top of the dictionary page.
11.
Write your words. Circle all the vowels and underline the consonants.
12.
Write tongue twisters with all of your words.
THURSDAY ONLY: Take a practice test and have it signed by a parent.
