Dr. Heidegger’s Experiment Vocab Exercise
Directions: As you read the story, you will come across ten different vocabulary
words. You will need to fill out a concept map for each word. When you fill out
the concept maps, keep the following guidelines in mind:
1. You may not use the definition in the book to define the term. You must
use an alternate source such as a dictionary or an online reference.
a. Possible online resources include (but are not limited to):
dictionary.com and etymology.com
2. With each word, you must include a synonym, an antonym, an example
sentence, and a picture that somehow displays/describes the word. You
must also correctly identify the part of speech.
3. Take your time and fill these out to the best of your ability. They will help
you study for the vocabulary quiz.

Things to Keep in Mind:
1. You may consult others in your group for help, but you need to work
independently as much as possible.
