Please complete the following activities using this story’s spelling
words.
1) ANALOGIES
Use 10 of your words to create analogies. (Example: heart
is to body as motor is to lawn mower).
2) ART
Choose 10 words from your list. Use these words to create
picture dictionary.
3) WORD SCRAMBLE
Scramble the words and write the answers next to the
word.
4) WRITING
Write a poem using a minimum of 10 words. Underline the
spelling words in the poem. The poem must have a title. If
possible make it something related to the story. Use your
best cursive and check for grammar errors.
5) SPELLING PATTERN
Identify the spelling pattern for this word list. Find 10 other
words that follow this pattern and write them down. You
must use different colors or underline to show the pattern.
