Topics: Numbers until 999. Hundreds, Tens and Ones. Sequences with
numbers of three digits. Additions and subtractions regrouping and
without regrouping.
1. CONTEXT.
Dear students in this guideline we are going to discover numbers of three digits
and we are going to use them in solving addition and subtraction problems.
2. ACTIVITIES.
2.1 Skip counts by 10s from 100 to 990
100
110
120
130
2.2. Our place-value number system is based on groups of ten. It takes 10
ones to make 1 ten. It takes 10 tens to make 1 hundred. (Math book page
389).
Do exercises on pages 391,392,393 and 394 in your Math Book.

2.3 Writing Numbers.
Numbers written in a standard form: 456.
Do exercises on page 395 in your Math Book.
2.4 The same number written in expanded form: 400 + 50 + 6.
Do exercises on page 396 in your Math Book.
2.5 Write sequences of numbers of three digits.
450-451-452-453-____, _____, _____, _____.
2.5 Comparing numbers > <
Compare 3 digit numbers, start with the digit that has the greatest place
value. 324 > 168.
Do exercises on pages 399 and 400.
2.6 Solving problems: Pages 401 and 402.
3. COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES.
3.1 Write the missing number (Math book page 407)
3.2 Put the number in order (Math book page 409)
3.3 Algebra. What number pattern will help you find the number that comes next
in this skip-counting sequence? (Math book pages 413,414)
4. ASSESSMENT.
Individual work: To develop the guideline, the models usage and patterns
recorded in the notebook.
Group work: To talk about experiences in the classroom.
Quices and P.E.P.A.
