Internet Advertising Conference
provides a forum to assess Internet
advertising in the Czech Republic

What are the most recent trends in Internet advertising? What are the biggest challenges facing the
Internet marketing? What media type has the greatest potential for the future? These topics, along with
many others, will be discussed at the 2008 Internet Advertising Conference co-organised by the Internet
Advertising Association (SPIR) and Internet Info.
The Internet Advertising Conference 2008 (http://iac.spir.cz), an all-day professional event, will be held on
Tuesday the 20th May 2008 in the Slovansky Dum in Prague. The organisers have based the conference on the
need to analyse the current situation in the Czech Internet market against the backdrop of recent Internet
advertising developments. Professional supervision is ensured and the programme developed by SPIR, Sdružení
pro internetovou reklamu (Internet Advertising Association). Internet Info is in charge of practical aspects.
“We decided to organise this conference surveying Internet advertising activity possibilities mainly because we
want to provide a detailed analysis of current Internet market needs. Knowing what exactly all the individual market
players want is the main pre-requisite for being able to react to any changes that may be necessary in the Internet
advertising area.”, says Kateřina Hrubešová, SPIR’s executive manager.
Internet advertising professionals, advertisers and media companies will meet over current topics influencing the
development of Internet advertising activities. Moreover, the conference will include several case studies
presenting successful Internet campaigns that have been run in the Czech Republic. The debate will be focusing
on areas such as Internet marketing concepts, campaign impacts, investment planning and distribution in all media
types, or research quality. Foreign Internet market data will also be presented.
The conference topics will be the following:
 Landscape – a general overview of Central European markets, trends abroad and their application in the
Czech Republic
 Internet advertising – media types, PPC systems, on-line planning, investment distribution,
client/agency/media relations, campaign assessment, creativity
 Internet marketing – strategies, concepts, Internet marketing mix, campaign impact
 Content – brand/content link, viral content, legal limitations
 Internet research – data, data collection and interpretation, quality research, NetMonitor and
AdMonitoring
The conference addresses everyone involved in the advertising and media industry in the Czech Republic,
especially Internet advertisers at the management, marketing management and on-line communication
department level, content providers and media and/or advertising agencies as intermediary entities. The
participants will also include Internet media representatives, journalists and SPIR members.

Internet Advertising Association (SPIR) (www.spir.cz)
SPIR is a trade association bringing together Internet advertising players since 2000. It consists of two sections
representing both sides of the Internet market – the Internet media section and the Internet advertisers section. It
currently has 43 members in both sections. Apart from running the single widely acknowledged viewing research
and Internet user socio-demographic profile system “NetMonitor”, it is currently introducing “AdMonitoring”, an
Internet advertising monitoring project.
