Create a children’s book that highlights how similar
Greek and Roman cultures were.
Examine similarities between Greek and Roman
architecture, literature, science, and religion.
Your book needs to include the following items: creative
cover with title, four illustrated pages, and four different
similarities that are highlighted between the two
cultures.
Points will be given for the following items:



16 points – 4 different similarities are explained in detail in well
written paragraphs and highlighted with detailed illustrations
5 points – creative approach on project (cover of book, small
details)
4 points – project is neat and uses correct grammar

Use the following topics: architecture,
literature, science, and religion.
“Daily Life in Rome”
Journals




Create a journal that highlights what daily life in ancient Rome was
like.
Examine what life was like in ancient Rome through creating a
journal of a person that may have lived in the ancient city.
Your journal must include the following items: four complete, well
written journal entries; a character biography page; terms from our
textbook that describe daily life in Rome (example togas, forum,
apartments, etc…).
Points will be given for the following items:




12 points - four complete, accurate, vocabulary rich journal entries that
create a vivid picture of what life in ancient Rome was like.
4 points – biography profile (develop a character outline of who owns
the journal that you are creating)
5 points – creative approach to project (cover, the little details)
4 points – neatness and use of correct grammar

Four Panels




Create a four panel display to highlight the different
causes of the fall of Rome.
Examine what caused the destruction of the Roman
Empire through creating four panels that show and
explain what happened.
Panels should include the social and economic problems
of Rome and then the Eastern and Western Empires.
Points will be given for the following items:
