Poll No 40 Yes 20 Because technology is advancing so fast computers double their performance every month. Humans in contrasted are developing so slowly. The danger is real that computer intelligence will develop and take over world. Yes: Humans might underestimate robots and robots will be stronger then we think. Humans might die out and robots will be the only things left. If robots get a mind of there own they could turn evil. No: We could chose not to give robots free will. We wouldn’t be able to make them powerful enough. Because there are more humans then robots. If humans invent them they’ll no how to stop them. Robots and artificial intelligence have already changed the world in half a century. It is unlikely the change will stop. Many experts think that artificial intelligence will soon go further than human intelligence and some day this will present a threat. Over 70 percent of our planet is covered by water. Our seas and oceans not only contain marine life but also robots. Robots can go into dangerous situations like defusing bombs or travelling into hard to get places like mines. Having robots doing day-to-day surgery can free the doctors and nurses for bigger and harder operations. There is one car factory in Germany that is totally controlled by robots. One company is planning on making a robot that can carry heavy machinery. The Da Vinci- surgery-robot is and indication of the possibility of robots working in hospitals. A robot called Asimo is designed to do what it is programmed like pick up things or push a cart. Asimo is programmed to navigate obstacles but asimo can not think or does not have free will which is a trait of all humans. If you have a robot doing your boring asks you will have more time for more important things like staying organised or losing weight.
