ASSA ABLOY Phoenix Job Description Job Title: FLSA Status: Department: Reports to: Graphic Designer/Digital Designer Exempt Marketing Marketing Communications Director Summary: Develops, creates, and maintains in-house graphic art and layout design for catalogs, advertising, packaging, brochures, sales collateral, and other internal and external materials in support of the company’s marketing objectives. In addition to print design, duties also include integration of print and digital mediums with a digital Product Information Management system. Create standardized marketing collateral utilizing design templates and database mapping / PIM integration. Position also includes conceptualization and design of video, e-mail marketing, digital signage and other multimedia projects. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Design and layout print and electronic communications: Develop visually innovative solutions to marketing and sales challenges. Concept and implement design projects as campaigns across various media while maintaining brand standards. o To create and execute well designed, properly branded print and digital collateral and marketing materials. These materials include but are not limited to ads, newsletters, sell sheets, icons, flyers, brochures, templates, interactive pdfs, infographics, signage, architectural illustrations/3D modeling and a variety of tradeshow/event graphics. Materials need to meet our internal customer requirements and branding requirements. o To create and execute well designed, properly branded digital collateral and marketing materials. These materials include but are not limited to app front-end development, 2D animation, video/audio editing, ads, enewsletters, web support, icons, interactive pdfs, 3D modeling and basic photo retouching. Experience creating standardized marketing collateral utilizing design templates and database mapping or PIM integration. Experience with Product Information Management (PIM) systems such as: Agility Multichannel, Stibo, Informatica, Riversand a plus To understand, implement and guide others in the branding strategy and requirements of ASSA ABLOY and its Phoenix brands, Alarm Controls, Adams Rite, HES and Securitron. Maintain and educate internal audiences on branding and graphic standards. Maintain acceptable customer service levels by working within the timeframe as outlined by the Director of Marketing Communications. Manage multiple projects, short timelines, and revisions without losing sight of priorities. Collaborate with internal ‘customers’ to clarify communication objectives, present concepts, obtain information, and speed approvals. Support a teamwork environment that encourages collaboration and flexibility. Use current graphic design software to design, enhance efficiency and meet production specs. Hands-on skills should include Adobe CC including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop (currently CS6), Premiere and Flash. Experience with Adobe Digital Publishing Suite (DPS) Stay abreast of new ideas and technology to improve quality, effectiveness and efficiency and identify ongoing training needs. Maintain existing processes and systems for file management and archiving. Work with marketing department and other departments to implement efficient processes, and best practices. Work with contractors, freelancers and ad agencies on campaigns, projects and photography. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing Communications. Travel and attendance at company functions including trade shows, exhibits, and industry seminars is sometimes required at the company’s discretion. Other duties may be assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility, although indirect management of external vendors such as printers is often required.
