Job Summary We are looking for an Assistant Brand Manager with 1-3 years of experience, preferably with consumer packaged goods food experience, to be part of the Smart Balance brand team. The ideal candidate will be able to comfortably gather and analyze data, manage and prioritize tasks across a variety of projects simultaneously, collaborate and coordinate with internal constituents across all business functions, partner with external agencies, and think critically in the context of overall brand strategy. Additionally, the ideal candidate will bring a sense of urgency and willingness to get the job done and have an intellectual curiosity and the creativity to find breakthrough ideas. The position is based in our Boulder office location. Essential Function Assist the Brand Manager in the development and implementation of Smart Balance’s brand strategy with an emphasis on consumer, customer, and digital marketing programs, advertising, and promotions. Assist the Brand Manager in managing the brand marketing budget and identifying/executing activities and programs to support the brand strategy. Liaise with the Sales organization to assist in developing and measuring shopper marketing programs that drive velocity. Actively gather, analyze and present marketing and consumption information across key channels and customers. Manage coupon programs. Develop and procure sales/trade materials including mock ups, sell sheets and samples. Ensure excellent execution of marketing initiatives. Organize and maintain image library for all products. Manage and coordinate special projects including trade shows and in-store/special events. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Understanding of brand marketing and the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial atmosphere as a motivated self-starter. Gather, interpret and synthesize market information and consumer insights into actionable strategies. Demonstrate creative problem solving and analytical skills. Manage and prioritize multiple projects and meet objectives in a timely manner. Courage to speak frankly and passionately even in the face of adversity. Manage marketing budgets. Proficient in data analysis. Working knowledge of Microsoft office required.
