CornellCookson, a leading and growing manufacturer of security closure products, is seeking a qualified Digital Marketing Strategist to work in our Marketing Communications Department. This position exists to promote CornellCookson’s many products in the marketplace through digital means. This position will be able to use best practices to drive increased website traffic. The ideal candidate will be able to implement and evaluate website analytics, spotting trends and making recommendations to improve based on data. We’re looking for someone to implement a solid SEO plan – from developing strategy to tactical execution. This is a chance for a detail oriented digital marketing professional ready to take ownership and responsibility for multiple websites, product lines, digital promotions, and unique digital tools. In addition, this role will design and implement CornellCookson’s enhanced social media presence – developing and managing digital content through selected platforms. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ACCOUNTABILITIES: List the four or five major accountabilities (end results) of the position, in order of importance. Where appropriate identify the activities required to attain each end result and the performance indicators by which results will be appraised (e.g., quality, timeliness, quantity and cost). Essential Functions/Accountabilities Management and support of company websites and digital tools Performance Indicators Maintain the health and vitality of online presence through the use of a CMS system Establish strong reporting and analysis of Google Analytics data Improve website traffic using a combination of best practices including SEO Support the expansion and development of existing and new digital tools Essential Functions/Accountabilities Support the product development and launch process through digital materials and website development. Support promotional programs with digital content and campaigns Social media management Performance Indicators Effective materials that follow corporate guidelines while maintaining creativity and message clarity Response from intended audience(s) Execution and maintenance of collateral materials and communication plans as planned Adherence to deadlines Sales growth of targeted products Microsite traffic Response from intended audience(s) Timely adjustments – identifying quickly if a tactic has value and adjusting as needed Growth of audience Audience interaction with brands Timely, effective content JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Describe the skills and abilities required that enable the employee to fulfill the accountabilities in the previous section. Set digital marketing strategies using all necessary tools (e.g. website, emails, social media and blogs) Research products, services and current strategies to identify new opportunities Analyze web traffic metrics and suggest solutions to boost web presence Monitor SEO/SEM, marketing and sales performance metrics to forecast trends Build strong clients relationships through social media interaction Keep up-to-date with our audience’s preferences and proactively suggest new campaigns Liaise with internal teams to optimize customer experience and ensure brand consistency Establish best practices in digital marketing Stay up-to-date with digital technologies developments EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS: List the main criteria which would qualify a new person for this position (e.g., skills, academic degrees, specialized knowledge, experience). 4 year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Advertising, or related field 2 – 4 years experience in Digital Marketing. Demonstrable experience with SEO/SEM and CRM software Experience implementing and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns Solid knowledge of web analytics tools like Google Analytics Hands-on experience with online marketing tools and practices Familiarity with web design and HTML Strong social media skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and project management skills Self-motivator with strong organizational and intra-personal skills, and a great collaborator.
