MIAMI-BASED PERSONAL MUSIC RECEIVED TOP HONORS AT LONDON INTERNATIONAL ADVERTISING AWARDS MIAMI (February 8th, 2007) — Miami-based music production house Personal Music received top honors in the original music scoring category at the prestigious 2006 London International Awards. The advertising awards, which attracted 17,139 entries from 80 countries, honor excellence in advertising, design and interactive media. Personal Music won the top honor, gold, among 56 entries from all over the world in the television/cinema original music scoring category for the soundtrack of “INK,” its Volkswagen Tourareg television advertising spot aimed at the U.S. Hispanic market. The 30-second TV spot, created by Coral Gables-based Creative On Demand, crossed over to the U.S. general market and international markets. “Ink” uses innovative animation created by London-based Nexus and an original music track from Personal Music to showcase how the Volkswagen Tourareg sport utility vehicle can easily prevail over everyday obstacles. “We have received numerous awards for this spot, but this is by far the most meaningful to us,” said Alberto Slezynger, Personal Music’s founder and lead composer. “It was an honor to compete among the best and most prestigious music production companies of the world. It took us 10 years, but now we are working on the same level as those music houses we admire. Personal Music’s advertising work has been recognized internationally at the Clio Awards, FIAP awards, District Addy awards, New York Festivals, Festival de Publicidad del Caribe, Ojo de Iberoamérica Awards, Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival and at the ANDA awards. Personal Music specializes in original musical composition , production and sound design for cinema, television and radio. The Miami team works with a network of composers and sound designers located in studios in Buenos Aires, Los Angeles and New York. The studio has worked on hundreds of campaigns and most recently composed the opening theme and incidental music for the hit television series “Amas de Casa Deseperadas” (Hispanic version of “Desperate Housewives”) for Disney/Buena Vista International. Personal Music works closely with Telemundo on composing theme songs and incidental music for all the Hispanic soap operas and programming produced in the network’s Miami studios . Alberto Slezynger launched his music business career in Venezuela where he composed and produced music with his multiplatinum group Daiquiri. In 1996, he moved to Miami Beach where he established Personal Music in his own recording studio on Lincoln Road. In 2005, the company moved to a new studio in the Accord Productions Center in Coconut Grove. Over the past decade Personal Music has emerged as one of the top music and sound designers in the advertising and broadcasting industries.
