JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Team: Reports To: Contract Type: Designer (In-house) Marketing Marketing Manager Permanent London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) is a membership organisation made up of 2,500 companies of all sizes and sectors, in every borough in London. There are currently four categories of membership – Patron, Premier Plus, Local (available through our branch chambers in Croydon, Ealing, East London and Hammersmith & Fulham) and International membership. The Marketing team works across all teams and functions to support the delivery of LCCI’s business goals – to maximise membership, influence, revenue and customer service. The Marketing team is custodian of the LCCI brand and as such oversees all communication across online and offline channels. We are currently recruiting for a Designer to be the key point of contact with internal clients for designing, producing and updating corporate literature and marketing material to join the Marketing team. As part of the team you will work alongside another Designer. As the ideal candidate you will need a strong track record of working as a Designer within a corporate environment or in an agency working with corporate clients. You will be comfortable working autonomously across multiple projects (but as part of a larger team) and confident in working in a fastpaced environment with an array of different internal clients. You will need be highly organised and self-motivated with the ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines. You will also have strong communication skills with experience in liaising and building relationships with clients and external suppliers and passionate about design. Key responsibilities For the design and layout of corporate information provided in various formats within strong brand and house style guidelines create and update an array of print and digital marketing collateral including promotional material, annual reports, brochures, banners, signage, adverts, eshots and other various web content; and overseeing these projects from brief to final artwork undertake day-to-day project management and administration, liaising with internal LCCI teams and external suppliers update and maintain a work production schedule carry out website updates and contribute to the site’s development uphold the LCCI brand and house style guidelines General responsibilities deliver first-class customer service and support to colleagues, both in the Marketing team and across teams play an active part in team and staff meetings present an efficient, professional and positive image of LCCI observe the employee standards and contribute to their continual improvement undertake any other duties as requested by the Marketing Manager Qualifications and experience degree standard qualification in a design related field or equivalent two years’ professional experience preferably within a corporate environment advanced skills across Adobe Creative Suite CS6 (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel Essential skills and aptitudes Strong: o typographic skills o attention to detail o organisational skills o interpersonal and communication skills o time management and prioritisation Ability to: o anticipate and solve problems o work to tight deadlines o build strong working relationships o work on multiple tasks concurrently and at a fast pace o work autonomously o adapt approach in response to changing conditions and priorities o manage expectations Creativity Flexibility Can do attitude Drive and pro-activity Team Player but ability to work on own projects Customer focused Tact and diplomacy Desirable Understanding of Membership Organisations Knowledge of print process Knowledge of HTML April 2015
