create a new full-time Sales and Marketing Administration Apprentice role:
Sales and Marketing Administration Apprentice
This is an apprenticeship role based at our head office in Ulverston as part of our dynamic,
busy and forward thinking Sales and Marketing team. It would include both in-house
training and attendance at Furness College. No prior experience of working in an office is
required as training support will be provided. We are looking to recruit for
August/September 2014.
The role involves providing important and valued administrative support;








sending out letters, packages and samples to customers
preparing spreadsheets
answering the telephone
filing
preparing sales information and/or quotes for customers
preparing marketing mailings
contributing to marketing activities including market research using trade magazines
general administrative duties
Qualifications and Competencies required:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-motivated, articulate individual who is computer
literate (especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint). They should be a good listener, keen to
help colleagues where necessary and able to demonstrate attention to detail. A good phone
manner is important.
Applicants should have 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above including Maths at grade
B or above, a Science-related subject and English Language. A modern language qualification
is preferred but not required. Further qualifications such as A levels or Administrationrelated qualifications are desirable.
