Further information on Northern Powergrid is available on our website at www.northernpowergrid.com Directorate Finance Position: Business Improvement Process Analyst – Timesheets Location: Castleford £(Salary) up to £30,000, up to 10% performance bonus and a 10% retention bonus upon completion of the contract Using Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement methodology, support the Business Improvement Manager and work directly with a dedicated Project Manager, to analyse key business end to end processes for Time and Attendance, to identify, recommend and evaluate opportunities to improve the customer experience and do more for less. The role will is a key resource to mobilise an improvement project, dedicated to undertaking a strategic review of our current Timesheets processes across all touch points within the business. This project is part of our Hire 2 Retire business process review roadmap to create People Operations Shared Services. This is a fixed term contract for 24 months – for the extended lifespan of the project. Key Responsibilities Investigate business processes using appropriate continuous improvement methodologies to identify and recommend feasible options and improvement actions. Document the “As Is” and “To Be” business processes working with relevant stakeholders to collect process data and knowledge. Gain in depth understanding of the “As Is” business processes to enable clear input as subject matter expert, into future state design, including future technology automation opportunities. Identify waste/efficiency savings, quantifying potential benefits in time, cost and resource as well as output quality. Appraise and evaluate options for the implementation of identified business processes/system improvements. Document and maintain updates to programme lifecycle and governance framework reporting. Support Business Improvement Manager within Shared Services to deliver their required responsibilities, providing analysis, interpretation and evaluation of findings relating to both “As Is” and “To Be” processes. Work collaboratively with a dedicated Project Manager to implement the future state “To Be” processes with key stakeholders Key Competencies Outstanding degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to document and communicate findings in a clear and concise way (both written and verbal) Ability to work collaboratively with key business stakeholders to identify and recommend improvements Highly motivated and flexible to deal with constantly changing demands. Advanced use of Microsoft including Powerpoint, Visio and Excel. Full driving licence Qualifications & Attributes Essential Qualifications and Experience Qualifications Lean Six Sigma Basic Training Experience Minimum 2 year experience in a similar Analyst role. Experience in the planning and execution of process review workshops with results to include “As Is and “To Be” process maps; ideally embedded within a Business Process Modelling methodology. Ability to carry out deep diagnostics during process reviews whilst able to articulate the bigger picture. Desirable Qualifications and Experience Qualifications Lean Six Sigma Certified Practitioner Experience Experience of operating in an operational/financial/commercial environment where continuous improvement methodologies have been deployed. Experience of implementing Time and Attendance automated systems technology.
