Connections Finance Analyst

Position
The successful candidate will provide support to the Connections Business Performance
Manager with financial performance. In addition to this there is a need to facilitate process
related improvements to be driven throughout the business unit to enhance financial
performance. This includes providing business controls support for Connections Services
Managers playing a central role in the enduring processes surrounding capital controls
initiatives.
Key Responsibilities







Evaluate the progress of expenditure against the delivery plan with key
interactions between Connections Delivery, Network Connections and Finance.
Provide information and communicate with senior managers on the financial
performance of the Connections Business units.
Assist with the production of financial and volume related forecast information.
Support Connections Delivery Managers with the compliance of project governance
and controls.
Facilitate process related improvements to enhance financial reporting.
Assist in effectively delivering financial information and performance measures on
activities including the fall business plan and regulatory returns.
Facilitate the monthly connections pricing review to identify and analyse any
changes that may be required.
Key Competencies





Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile and analyse large amounts of data
Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
Strong team player but with the ability to work on own initiative and be a self-starter
Strong IT skills including the competent use of Excel, financial systems and Crystal
reporting
Strong planning and organisational skills
Qualifications & Attributes
Essential Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate must have NVQ level 3 ONC in Business Management or an
equivalent numerical or economic qualification or at least 2 A levels grade C or above.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
 It would be desirable for the candidates to hold numerate or economic degree or
equivalent or A level Mathematic
 Experience of Crystal reporting and management accounting in a business
environment. In-depth knowledge of the company CDMS and CDA Systems would
also be beneficial
