Digital Marketing Manager
The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for designing, developing and executing a digital
marketing program to drive utilization of telehealth services for a national enterprise health system
client. The role requires an individual comfortable in an externally facing client role as well as someone
who has experience leading large-scale digital marketing programs in the healthcare space. This position
entails a minimum of 50% travel time.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Digital Marketing Program Design and Execution:
 Define, plan, execute, and continuously refine the digital marketing strategy for a large
enterprise health system client
 Oversee management of client’s telehealth website, including content and interactive features,
A/B testing, SEO, and analytics
 Collaborate with client to develop strategies for social media, email marketing, and paid user
acquisition.
 Work with client’s marketing team and vendors to understand all marketing strategies and
channels, ensuring goals align across all channels
 Add new forms of consumer engagement that grab attention: video, social media, mobile, etc.
 Regularly report on performance and ongoing optimization strategies
 Make recommendations on budget allocation across digital marketing channels
Client Relationships:
 Work closely with client to understand business goals, organizational structure, and existing
marketing strategies and capabilities
 Develop positive ongoing relationships with health system client telehealth and marketing
teams
 Monitor and manage utilization of client’s telehealth service
 Work effectively as a team with American Well Account Management and Professional Services
(technology implementation) to go beyond client’s expectations.
Required Skills:



Solid understanding of digital marketing disciplines, including: website management and
optimization, SEO, SEM, paid user acquisition, social media, email, content strategy, web
analytics
Familiarity with mobile app marketing
Strong communicator and team player – able to work laterally within a cross-functional team




Excellent written and verbal communicator
Healthcare industry background knowledge, spanning health plans, employer groups, provider
networks, and consumers
Required application experience: Wordpress or other web CMS; Silverpop or other
email/marketing automation systems; Google Analytics and Tag Manager; Adobe; basic HTML;
PowerPoint; Excel
Project leadership
Qualifications:
 5-7 years of digital marketing experience, with increasing responsibility
 Experience across all digital marketing channels
 College degree, ideally with a concentration in marketing or communications
 Minimally 3-4 years of healthcare industry experience, with exposure to health plans, employer
groups, and/or major hospital institutions and provider groups
