Chemical structure of atoms, periodic table of elements, interaction between atoms, molecules and chemical compounds. Chemical bonds. Amount of substances, molar mass and Avogadro constant. Change in phases of matter (solids, liquids, gases). Mixtures and their concentration. Types of chemical reaction, equations. Oxidationreduction. Oxidation state and -number. Chemical equilibrium, acidity, pH. Organic Chemistry. Studying the structure, properties and chemical reaction of organic compounds and organic materials, matters that contain carbon atoms. Classification of organic compounds, functional groups. Covalent bonds in organic molecules (double and triple bonds). Nomenclature, structural drawing. Aliphatic-, aromatic and heterocyclic compounds. Most important paraffins, olefins and alkynes. Halids, alcohols, ethers, esters, carboxylic acids and derivatives, amines, proteins. Carbohydrates, nucleic acids, proteins and their importance in life. Natural and synthetic polymers. Requirements Attendance at lectures: To be present on lectures is compulsary. Rules of education and exam directory (TVSZ) are the guidelines. Exams and tests (types, data) 7.week Qualification Test 14.week Improver test Requirements for qualification: For qualification, students have to write a test on the 7 th week of teaching course 0-50 % fail 51-100 % pass If failed test can be rewrite in week 14 or/and once more within the first 10 days of the examination period.
