About Us Encore Tickets is a ticketing company specialising in theatre tickets. Our product portfolio features tickets for the whole of London's West End theatres including tactical promotional rates and innovative packages, plus attractions, river cruises, sightseeing tours and restaurants. We have also recently acquired a gigs ticketing company, enabling us to sell rock and pop tickets through the Stargreen brand. We sell our products through a variety of channels. These include providing theatre tickets to trade clients, including airlines and tour operators from around the world as well as coach operators, group organisers and hotel groups in the UK. In addition, we provide clients with white label websites, in order for them to sell theatre tickets to their customers in addition to their core products. The internship would be in the Marketing Services team. This team focusses on the delivery of innovative, profitable and exciting marketing services across the business segments and will include supporting the coordination of exhibitions and events, in addition to the collation of the company’s print. Number of Employees 120 employees. In the Digital and Marketing teams there are nine employees. Tasks • • • • • • • • • Print marketing support – including collation of images and copy, sending proofs to Marketing Agencies and briefing in any amends to our designer. Send file copies of communications to suppliers. Product research – price comparisons of ticket across our competitors’ websites to ensure we have best in market Exhibitions and Events – assisting with the collation of artwork and marketing collateral for trade shows, and the lead up to our annual World Travel Market party in November Distribution of marketing assets – requesting artwork specifications for marketing services and updating the image and copy library. Ensure correct images are distributed and used across the business. Social Media and website updates- Updating latest news sections of corporate website and updating corporate Facebook and Twitter pages. Email and Mailing Calendar – Sending Groups and Education e-shots out to our database. Obtaining quotes from our mailing house to send Group mailers. Product meetings: Researching for and creating weekly product meetings notes for the Customer Service team. Admin tasks – Manage and request posters and merchandise for all shows to be distributed through the company. Trade Shows - Liaise directly with marketing agencies regarding trade nights and complimentary ticket requests • Ad-hoc tasks Skills Required • Administrative skills • • • • • Analytical skills People and team-working skills Good grasp of technology, with ability to pick things up quickly Excellent written English Good understanding of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word Skills to be acquired • • • • • • Print marketing - including how to utilise marketing assets for different audiences and building on editorial skills collating images and copy for brochures and show guides Product – understanding the various channels of ticketing including how rates and offers are set up Administration – coordinating complimentary tickets and VIP trades nights and training academies across all segments including Concierges, Travel Trade, Group clients and Affiliates. Social media – understanding how Facebook and Twitter are used in a business context Understanding of the workings of a marketing services department, and how marketing activity has a commercial impact on the company’s bottom line. Understanding of the theatre industry Period Ideally would like the intern to be available for 2-3 months.
