Vice President - Marketing
This position is located in Wausau, Wisconsin.
Job Summary:
Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of Connexus credit union's
marketing strategies, and ensure alignment with the organization’s business goals. Manage execution of
communication, promotion, e-commerce and marketing technology objectives. Research and analyze
market and competitive trends to ensure the brand is positioned competitively. Provide direction,
evaluation, and management of department staff across product, channel, and communication efforts.
Job Responsibilities:
 Develop and manage the Connexus brand as an asset; focusing on delivering compelling customer
experiences in support of financial and market based objectives.
 Develop, implement & manage execution of core marketing strategies to include, but not limited to: Brand,
New Business, Retention, Communication, Public Relations, Social Media, Product Development,
Campaign and Online Banking.
 Oversee Internet, and other technology based initiatives, to ensure effective e-commerce outcomes that
capture new business and strengthens member relationships.
 Collaborate with Connexus management team to ensure that marketing efforts are aligned with sales
objectives and administrative best practices.
 Design, develop, and implement integrated marketing and product management programs for the credit
union.
 Track and evaluate consumer/member response and ROI of promotional campaigns. Update or change as
appropriate to ensure continuous improvement and effectiveness.
 Manage timely delivery of the department’s quality work product.
 Provide Senior Management with weekly project updates and issues as they arise.
 Prepare, implement, and supervise the budget for the department consistent with the overall strategic plan
and financial goals of the credit union.
 Analyze market trends and operational data to support potential objectives and strategies.
 Keep abreast of changing trends in the marketplace so that the credit union may react quickly and
competitively.
 Research and recommend product or service enhancements to provide quality member service.
 Manage agency, vendor, and supplier partners as required, and review effectiveness of partnership at least
annually.
 Develop, apply, and document policies and best practices for the department.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree required, MBA desired. Seven (7) or more years of experience in integrated
marketing strategy development and execution, preferably in a financial, service, or transaction business.
Ability to blend brand, product, retail, and inbound marketing approaches. Expertise in both the creative
and analytical aspects of the marketing value stream and relationship management. Thinks strategically,
is action-oriented, influences others, and leads cross-functional teams to execution success.
