AbilityNet Job Description Job Title: Digital Marketing Manager Reporting to: Head of Marketing and Communications Band: 3 Department: Sales and Marketing Job Purpose This is an exciting new role for a unique charity that uses the power of digital technology to transforms lives of disabled people at home, at work and in education. AbilityNet relies on its digital marketing and communications to promote its charitable and commercial services, targeting a wide range of audiences in the UK and further afield with a variety of messages. Our communications team has developed a successful content strategy which is delivering a range of useful information across a huge range of topics. We now need to focus on promotional activity that attracts attention and enquiries for our services. The Digital Marketing Manager will work directly with the Head of Marketing and Communications to ensure that we make the best possible use of all relevant digital marketing channels to promote what we are doing and deliver AbilityNet’s commercial and charitable goals. This includes planning and delivering paid campaigns of all type, optimisation of AbilityNet’s own web content, monitoring and reporting on relevant metrics and working closely with colleagues to build the value of AbilityNet’s presence on all key social media platforms. Principal Accountabilities Setting up and managing digital advertising campaigns to promote AbilityNet’s services and events Review and implement PPC and SEO activities that increase the volume of relevant traffic to the website. Working with colleagues to manage the AbilityNet website to ensure that it is optimised to deliver commercial and charitable goals Working with colleagues to plan and produce digital content that meets the needs of AbilityNet’s many audiences Build relationships with external partners to ensure that AbilityNet’s API is delivering relevant content to other sites and digital services Identify and collect relevant metrics on all digital activity, including the use of Google Analytics and other measurement tools April 2016 Page 1 Working with HR staff to identify recruitment needs and deliver specific digital campaigns as required Prepare regular reports to the Sales and Marketing team to report on activity Support AbilityNet’s planning processes by providing analysis and insights about digital activity Providing practical support for online events including webinars, podcasts and webcasts To undertake any other task consistent with the scope of the post, as requested by the Head of Marketing & Communications The post-holder will work from home but must be close to Brighton so that they can work closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications Regular travel will be needed to London with occasional travel to other parts of the UK Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential Experience of planning and delivering successful PPC campaigns in business or charitable settings Experience of optimising AdWord accounts to deliver business or charitable goals Experience of using relevant CMS system (we use Drupal) to manage and optimize website content Good knowledge of PPC and best practice SEO techniques Strong understanding of Google Analytics Able to analyse data and metrics and translate into actionable strategies Marketing degree or professional qualification in digital marketing Preferred: • • • Experience of creating and sharing content online inc written, video or audio content Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related Image editing and web design skills This job description is not exhaustive.
