Valentin P. – Presentation and Motivation
■Hi, my name is Valentin P., but tell me Ben (is my middle name) I am from
Romania (south-east of Europe, beside of Black Sea) I live in Pecica (west of
Romania) since I was 6 years old. I study at "Gheorghe Lazar" high school. My
birthday is on 3rd of October, my sign is Libra and it represents me. I am
balanced, I don`t like to be disorganized. I am creative and cleverly. My house is
medium, I live with my parents and one dog, his name is Roby, it is a friend, not a
pet. I am tall and thin, I like to play basketball. I am a dreamer and I am
passionate of Astronomy, I want to know where we live, what is around us and
discover new horizons. I have a telescope (made by me), a camera (I use it to take
photos on sky and books of astronomy, I learned astronomy at home, because in
Romanian`s school we don`t learn astronomy (unfortunately) I was interested of
astronomy since I was 12 years old and I keep going to learn more much. My
address is - street: 219, number: 31. I want to dedicate all my life to study, this
project isn`t just one opportunity to visit a new country, this is a step to my
vocation.
■Let`s talk about more things I do. I love listening to music, my favourite singers
are: Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Adele, Demi Lovato, Beyoncé and Loreen. I love
Mexican` food, China` food and pizza. I like to paint even if I don`t have talent. I
love to study astronomy, math, chemistry and I like to do graphic drawings .I like
math, chemistry, astronomy and English, in Romania`s school, we don`t learn
astronomy, I want to do a career on astronomy, I love Eurovision Song Contest or
Music Awards.
■ I like to travel everywhere in the world. I want to learn and know more things
about astronomy and this project is a way to do what I want. Sometimes I`m
wondering how this boundless universe works but it`s hard to understand the
secrets of the Universe. The human brain can understand all of these but we
don`t want or we don`t know yet, we can open the Universe `s barriers to
understand how we were created, just imagine that the Universe can`t be
included in a determined space of limits. Who knows how many planets are
created or destroyed right now, how many species live in the Universe, this is a
controversial subject we can talk about forever, the Universe has secrets, that are
ready to be discovered, maybe not now or in 10 years maybe not even in 1000
years, but I’m okay with it. I accept the reality I think that maybe in the future we
will, meet new forms of life, create new things together, maybe colonise Mars,
who knows how many things we will do in the future. Anyway, now we must
focus on the present On the Earth are 2 types of humans: those who don't want
to learn more and the stay on the same level and those who try, want and know
that there are many fantastic thing out there that need to be discovered.
■ I want to be part of this project because this project helps me learn a new
language, it helps me talk with people from another country, and it’s an
experience. In the future I wish to work at N.A.S.A but until N.A.S.A I need to learn
more English and astronomy. I have so much to say, but I don`t have enough time.
Valentin P. (Ben)

(IMAGINE FROM WIKIPEDIA)
- The Moon makes a complete orbit around Earth with respect to
the fixed stars about once every 27.3 days(its sidereal period)
However, because Earth is moving in its orbit around the Sun at
the same time, it takes slightly longer for the Moon to show the
same phase to Earth, which is about 29.5 days(its synodic
period)Unlike most satellites of other planets, the Moon orbits
closer to the ecliptic plane than to the planet's equatorial
plane. The Moon's orbit is subtly perturbed by the Sun and Earth
in many small, complex and interacting ways. For example, the
plane of the Moon's orbital motion gradually rotates, which
affects other aspects of lunar motion. These follow-on effects
are mathematically described by Cassini's laws.
The orbit of moon has 360*:
0* - New Moon
90* - First Quarter
180* - Full Moon
240* - Last Quarter
360* - New Moon
- Solar Eclipse and Lunar Eclipse
Solar Eclipse, when it`s solar eclipse it`s new moon but the
moon is crossing in front of sun. The moon is covering the sun,
when is full solar eclipse, the sun can be see like a thin line
around shadow of the moon.
Lunar Eclipse (named Blood-Moon), it`s happening when is full
moon and moon is located at perigee and the sun rays are divided
by earth's atmosphere in 3 colour (red, yellow and blue) when
moon enter in penumbra the moon is yellow and when it`s in full
umbra the moon is red-orange, the ante-penumbra is blue but moon
can be see clear .
(BY ME)
The Moon is a differentiated body: it has a geochemically
distinct crust, mantle, and core. The Moon has a solid iron-rich
inner core with a radius of 240 km and a fluid outer core
primarily made of liquid iron with a radius of roughly 300 km.
Around the core is a partially molten boundary layer with a
radius of about 500 km. This structure is thought to have
developed through the fractional crystallization of a global
magma ocean shortly after the Moon's formation 4.5 billion years
ago.

• The Solar System, comprises the Sun and the planetary
system that orbits it, either directly or indirectly. Of
those objects that orbit the Sun directly, the largest
eight
are
the
planets,
with
the
remainder
being
significantly smaller objects, such as dwarf planets and
small Solar System bodies such as comets and asteroids. Of
those that orbit the Sun indirectly, like the moons, two
are larger than the smallest planet Mercury.
• The Solar System formed 4.6 billion years ago from the
gravitational collapse of a giant interstellar molecular
cloud. The vast majority of the system's mass is in the
Sun, with most of the remaining mass contained in Jupiter.
The four smaller inner planets, Mercury, Venus, Earth and
Mars, are terrestrial planets, being primarily composed of
rock and metal. The four outer planets are giant planets,
being substantially more massive than the terrestrials. The
two largest, Jupiter and Saturn, are gas giants, being
composed mainly of hydrogen and helium; the two outermost
planets, Uranus and Neptune, are ice giants, being composed
partially of substances with relatively high melting points
compared with hydrogen and helium, called ices, such as
water, ammonia and methane. All planets have almost
circular orbits that lie within a nearly flat disc called
the ecliptic.
• The Solar System also contains smaller objects. The
asteroid belt, which lies between the orbits of Mars and
Jupiter, mostly contains objects composed, like the
terrestrial planets, of rock and metal. Beyond Neptune's
orbit lie the Kuiper belt and scattered disc, which are
populations of trans-Neptunian objects composed mostly of
ices, and beyond them a newly discovered population of
sednoids. Within these populations are several dozen to
possibly tens of thousands of objects large enough to have
been rounded by their own gravity. Such objects are
categorized as dwarf planets. Identified dwarf planets
include the asteroid Ceres and the trans-Neptunian objects
Pluto and Eris. In addition to these two regions, various
other small-body populations, including comets, centaurs
and interplanetary dust, freely travel between regions. Six
of the planets, at least three of the dwarf planets, and
many of the smaller bodies are orbited by natural
satellites, usually termed "moons" after the Moon. Each of
the outer planets is encircled by planetary rings of dust
and other small objects.
•
The solar wind, a stream of charged particles flowing
outwards from the Sun, creates a bubble-like region in the
interstellar
medium
known
as
the
heliosphere.
The
heliopause is the point at which pressure from the solar
wind is equal to the opposing pressure of interstellar
wind; it extends out to the edge of the scattered disc. The
Oort cloud, which is believed to be the source for longperiod comets, may also exist at a distance roughly a
thousand times further than the heliosphere. The Solar
System is located in the Orion Arm, 26,000 light-years from
the center of the Milky Way. (SEARCH ON WIKIPEDIA)
