QUALITY SPECIFICATION
AMMONIUM SULFATE
Ammonium sulfate is a salt with the chemical formula (NH4)2SO4. A reagent used as
also as flocculant and molecular chemistry, to precipitate soluble proteins. In
biochemical, used to fractionally precipitate the globulins are insoluble in water and to
differentiate albumins. Globulins can be dissolved for subsequent analysis. The
ammonium sulfate is excellent component to the call fractional precipitation, because
among other things makes the water competes between dissolution of this salt or
protein (consisting of many carboxyl groups and ammonium), causing the protein to
precipitate. Other use is as a fertilizer.
