MicroVest Capital Management announces new Chief
Investment Officer and Managing Director of Equity
Bethesda, March 2nd, 2017 – MicroVest Capital Management is announcing that, effective March
1st, John Beckham, former Chief of Strategy, will become Chief Investment Officer. Doug Young,
the current CIO, will take over the newly created role of Managing Director of Private Equity.

Mr. Beckham joined MicroVest in June 2016 after nearly 20 years at the Inter-American
Investment Corporation (IIC), the private sector arm of the Inter-American Development Bank. At
the IIC he was the Managing Director for Clients, leading the investment teams in charge of all
new lending and equity operations for projects, financial institutions, corporate clients, and SMEs.
As Managing Director of Equity Mr. Young, who has been with MicroVest since 2006, will be
responsible for all the of firm’s Private Equity portfolio, as well as for the development and
implementation of new equity strategies.
