Chemical dependency rate reform project implemented into claim pricing
Effective 1/1/16, IMCare will be following the chemical dependency rate reform project when pricing
claims. We are requiring providers to include the appropriate modifiers for correct payment.
Chemical dependency rates reform project
The 2009 Minnesota legislature directed the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division (ADAD) to prepare for the 2011
legislature a statewide rate methodology for the Consolidated Chemical Treatment Fund (CCDTF). The
methodology will replace county-negotiated rates with a uniform statewide methodology that includes a
graduated reimbursement scale based on the patients’ level of acuity and complexity and performance add-ons.
Refer to the CCDTF procedure, modifier, and provider specialty code descriptions sheet.
Refer to the appropriate rate grid for payment. **Out of network providers will receive an additional reduction
to these rates.
