Installing and Updating DNA Master on Windows 8 1. On the Start Screen, select the Desktop. 2. Download and “run” (open) the DNA Master installer. 3. Follow through the installation process by clicking “Next.” Pause at the last screen. 4. Uncheck the “Run DNA Master Now” option. Click “Finish” 5. Open the File Explorer. Click on the top of the window, enter the location of the DNA Master folder. Assuming that none of the options were changed from default during installation, the location (path to enter) would be C:\Program Files (x86)\DNA Master 6. Right click on the file named “DNAMas” and select “Properties” from the dropdown menu. 7. Select the Compatibility tab. Under Compatibility Mode, check “Run this program in compatibility mode for” and select “Windows XP (Service Pack 3).” Click “OK.” 8. Double click on “DNAMas” to run as normal. Under the “Help” dropdown menu, select “Update DNA Master.” 9. It is strongly suggested that you create a shortcut of the program on the desktop or on the Task Bar by right clicking on “DNAMas,” then select “Pin to Task Bar” or “Create Shortcut.”
