DNA to Protein Worksheet
Directions: Below are five (5) different DNA sequences:




First, in the DNA row of each table, rewrite the sequence in the form of three (3) bases per box.
Second, transcribe the DNA sequence into an mRNA sequence and record in the second row of each
table. Each box should have three (3) bases (one codon).
Third, indicate what the anticodon on the tRNA would be and write each sequence in the third row.
Finally, use the mRNA sequence to determine what amino acid each codon codes for. Use the chart on
the back of this worksheet to complete this step.
