To use regular “ar” or “er” or “ir” verbs in sentences, follow
these steps:
1. Take off the last two letters of the verb.
2. Where that ar, er, or ir used to be, put the correct
ending from the chart above!
Example:
Use the verb hablar in a sentence about yourself.
1. Take off the ar. You are left with habl
2. Since the subject is yourself (yo), add an o where the ar
was. You get hablo
3. Finish the sentence. Since hablar means to speak, I
choose to finish the sentence with a language, español.
Yo hablo español. 
