Job title: Marketing & Ticketing Services Associate Reports to: Marketing Specialist & Ticketing Services Manager Position Specifics: This position will be contracted through June 30, 2015 PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Marketing & Ticketing Services Associate provides key support for the marketing and ticketing services departments assisting with initiatives that cross both departments including digital marketing, reporting and assisting with communications in person, online, by telephone and via email through customer service and outreach channels. This is an important role as it directly impacts the Kauffman Center experience. The Marketing & Ticketing Services Associate will work in a variety of platforms including the Tessitura CRM database/ticketing system, Wordpress website dashboard, Google Analytics, Wordfly email software, and through various social media and online tools. This position will also work in the Kauffman Center Gift shop during some performances. Cash handling will be involved. This position will take reservations for performances at Kauffman Center, make exchanges, fulfill ticketing orders and further assist with ticket sales initiatives and services as required. Candidate must have strong written and verbal communications skills with confidence in proofreading abilities. The ideal candidate is flexible, dependable, detail-oriented and self-starting, has experience with data entry, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, professional emailing and managing social media pages. He or she must enjoy customer service, managing inbound and outbound calls, working with individuals or groups of guests, thinking on his or her feet. This position requires the ability to remain calm under pressure and assist with programs and events as needed. The Marketing & Ticketing Services Associate will provide the highest level of customer service to all guests, vendors and clients. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Primary Marketing Responsibilities: Job description Oversee Digital Media • Coordinate digital marketing including e-blast calendar, generating and designing e-mails, writing and integrating copy and managing e-mail list. • Administer social media including content generation, monitoring posts, growing engagement and responding to messages on all Kauffman Center social media platforms. • Generate reports and provide marketing data based on performances, social media, website, Google Ad Words, e-mails and post-performance surveys. • Create and manage online content for external (ex. blog posts, calendar listings) and internal communications. Grassroots Marketing • Create grassroots marketing campaigns in support of Kauffman Center Presents programs and coordinate marketing trade and fulfillment including basic graphic design needs. • Generate revenue and coordinate with outside organizations on marketing and advertising purchases at the Center. • Coordinate fulfillment benefits for partnerships. Page 1 of 3 Primary Ticketing Responsibilities: Customer Service • Answer inbound calls and respond to guest requests. • Provide guests with accurate up-to-date information on venues and Kauffman Center’s, renters’ and the resident artistic organizations’ programs. • Answer inquiries from guests and advise accordingly regarding reservations. • Up-sell products and services (seating location, parking vouchers, and entertainment packages) Ticketing and Data Input • Input and retrieve alphabetical and numerical information in prescribed format, utilizing Tessitura and/or other software programs. • Verify input data to ensure accuracy of work and recap the guests order and account information. • Complete call logs and reports as need. • Balance batches and reconcile errors. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications Two years of marketing and customer experience is required. Enjoys customer service and exceeding expectations Ability to collaborate and work effectively with diverse team members, vendors and other stakeholders.
