Marketing Executive Department: Marketing Strategy and Planning Directorate: Product and Marketing Organisational overview The National Employment Savings Trust (NEST) is a workplace pension scheme. It’s been designed around the needs of employers and workers and offers a high quality, easy to use way to save for retirement. NEST Corporation is the Trustee of the scheme and is a non-departmental public body independent of government but accountable to Parliament through the Department of Work and Pensions. Departmental overview Marketing Strategy and Planning is a new function that is responsible for defining and implementing measurable marketing and digital strategy based on customer insight. The team will develop a marketing strategy including a digital channel plan with appropriate KPIs, an associated activity plan, track delivery, and commission implementation from services across NEST. We will also provide customer and market insight based on research and web analytics, and regularly assess and report on the success of marketing activities and the digital channel. This newly created role will be responsible for supporting the implementation and evaluation of targeted marketing activity that achieve business objectives through acquisition and retention activity. Version 1 Updated June 15 Marketing Executive Department: Marketing Strategy and Planning Directorate: Product and Marketing Relationships & autonomy to clear levels of communication and ownership Ensure delivered campaigns form industry best practice and focus on keeping ’the customer at the heart’ of the communication Ensure that ROI is measured for every campaign and that measurements are in place for every piece of marketing activity Maintain files of all marketing campaigns in line with marketing processes Raise Purchase Orders for agencies and work closely to ensure the costs are kept within budget Work with internal stakeholders to understand their business needs and marketing requirements Gain approval from all key stakeholders for all marketing activity. This includes legal, regulatory compliance, brand, data protection, product, commercial and sales teams Develop timing plans to ensure that all stakeholders know their ownership and timing deliverables Engage operational areas to ensure that all areas of the business (where necessary) are fully briefed on the marketing campaign Work where appropriate with internal technical stakeholders to support the development and implementation of digital assets Ensure that the messages that we communicate are appropriate for the channels utilized for delivery including offline, online and events Build strong relationships with Product Design and Management, Marketing Services Management, Risk, Compliance, Procurement and Operations to develop and deliver the marketing activity Digital strategy team to ensure the digital channel plans are taken into account Role requirements Experience and technical skills The employee will be able to demonstrate the following experience and technical skills: Proven commercial marketing experience preferably in a regulated environment Creation and implementation of integrated campaign plans and budgets across B2B and B2C channels especially digital Management of creative and media agencies Experience of creating marketing metrics and reporting on ROI Understanding of target audience and use of CRM methodology Working knowledge of marketing research techniques, including customer segmentation Good knowledge of marketing planning and marketing analytics This job description is intended as guidance to the typical requirements of this job and not as an exhaustive list.
