Optional 4th quarter report A.P./Advanced Biology Topics: Cancer and the cell cycle – possible mutations that cause cancer, drugs aimed at cell cycle enzymes, etc. Genetic Disorders – cystic fibrosis, sickle cell anemia. Albinism, PKU, Tay Sack’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease, Polydactyly, etc. – include the gene(s) involved, dominant or recessive, how they test for it, treatment(?), is it found in one group of people? Chromosome disorders- Down Syndrome, Turner’s Syndrome,. Kleinfelter’s Syndrome, fragile X in men. Directions: Follow normal MLA procedures, at least 2+ pages, at least 2 sources, sources cited within the report, Turn-it-in. If you choose to do this report, the hard copy is due by May 10th the latest, and turn-it-in by May 13th - no changes in this date.
