Appetizers: - Write four sentences.
*Label each pronoun (subject pronoun, object pronoun, singular possessive and
plural possessive. *Make each sentence contain one pronoun (underline the

Salad - Contractions - Make up four contraction sentences using two contractions and
the words that make up the contractions. Use the contraction in one sentence and the two
words that make up the contraction in the second sentence. Repeat with next contraction.
Underline the contractions and the two words that make up the contraction.
Example - The don't salad is delicious!

Another example - Don't miss our great cobb salad.

Entrees: Verbs - Make up SEVEN sentences using the correct verb to describe your
entrees. Underline the verb.
1. Action verb - Make up a sentence using an action verb.
2. Linking Verb - Linking verbs connect the subject to a noun, pronoun or an adjective in
the predicate that renames or describes the subject. Use forms of be (am, are, is, was,
were) or appear, become, feel, grow, look seem and taste.
3. Helping Verb - Make up a sentence containing a helping verb. This verb works with the
main verb to tell about an action. Make up sentences using: am, is, are, was, were, will,
has, have, had, does, do, did, could, would, should
4. Irregular Verb - These verbs do NOT end in -ed in the past tense. Example: bring,
brought
