Goal
 Reduce the vulnerabilities of coastal communities and cities in Tamil Nadu
and Andhra Pradesh, India, to climate change and strengthen capacities of
local authorities and the population on climate change adaptation (CCA),
climate change mitigation (CCM) and disaster risk reduction (DRR).

Integration into development plans accelerated
Multiple approaches for mainstreaming adaptation
Key results include:
 Rs. 1.57 crores allocated by AP government for expanding AdaptCap schemes and concepts in Vizag
district
 District disaster management plans in Vizag and Thiruvallur under review with NIDM, to integrate CCA
and DRR
 16 Crores sanctioned in AP by the AP Community based tanks programme by the irrigation dept.

integrated plan at the district level
