DONG Energy, Denmark’s leading energy company, has donated 1 million Euro to an exhibition on energy and climate change The exhibition consists of app. 35 exhibits on energy production, distribution and consumption .. And on the impact on the future climate The daily dilemma: The daily dilemma: Reduce your life quality slightly and “save the world” The daily dilemma: Reduce your life quality slightly and “save the world” Or not!! Experimentarium will surround the exhibition with a lot of associated activities: Experimentarium will surround the exhibition with a lot of associated activities: Educational materials, school competition, debates, lectures and a special Energy Festival The exhibition covers 500 m2 and shall open to the public on 29 January 2009 Approximately 20% of the exhibition will be copied and turned into a travelling exhibition Approximately 20% of the exhibition will be copied and turned into a travelling exhibition It shall be placed near the COP15 at the Bella Center Experimentarium have received another 1 million Euro to develop and perform a consensus conference for 3.000 students, age 16 to 18 years The projects shall establish a Resource Room containing a lot of information on energy consumption and climate change The consensus should enclose the answer to the questions: The consensus should enclose the answer to the questions: Is their a man made climate change? The consensus should enclose the answer to the questions: Is their a man made climate change? What must we do to reduce it? The facilitators of the conference is Experimentarium’s exhibition pilots .. And special trained students, that play the role of a famous scientist During the conference, the students can consultate the “scientists” .. And seek information in the Resource Room At the end of the day, the students shall have reached a common decision on the answer to the two questions The success criteria defined by the donator was 2.000 students to join the project Up to now have more than 3.000 students joined the project!! All these activities would not have been financed, if the COP15 conference has taken place!! Thank you vey for your attention!
