Consumers Retailers Marketing Firms and Organizations Marketing Students and Professors WHY I CHOSE THIS JOURNAL • I am a marketing major who also genuinely enjoys the study of psychology. Not only do I find these two topics interesting but I strongly believe it is important to understand aspects of both field to be successful in within my marketing major HOW THIS JOURNAL MAY PERTAIN TO YOU • Studying Consumer behavior can help consumers better understand their behavior towards marketing tactics, thus making us more efficient and smarter consumers • Understanding the psychology behind marketing can help retailers and marketing firms better understand consumer behavior. In return, by understanding buyer-seller interactions and consumer choice processes they can appropriately and efficiently advertise their products, leading to an increase in sales. “MISSION STATEMENT” • Describe influences of consumer behavior in the marketing field • Explore multiple variables of psychological research in consumer behavior, judgment, and decision making that is beneficial in improving marketing tactics. Attitudes Emotions Motivation Individual preference Perception Social Influence SUBMISSION PROCESS • Authors are required to submit manuscripts to Wiley’s online submission and review website. Unlike some other journals, registration is not required to make this submission. Then Wiley will editorial team will review the submission and decide whether or not it shall be published. EDITORIAL PROCESS • Peer reviewers look to confirm research originality and thoroughness. They evaluate whether a potential article matches the aims and scope of a given journal and is an appropriate fit to the caliber of work that has previously been published in that journal. The peer reviewer and editor are both extremely cautious about potential plagiarism, and in almost all cases, manuscripts are run through special software programs that can identify plagiarized text.
