Islam – the religion that started in the Arabian Peninsula Muslim – person who believes in Islam Muhammad – “The Prophet” – the leader of Islam mosque – place where Muslim people pray The Qur’an (the Koran) – the holy book of Islam 1 -- First Pillar: Muslims pray to one god named Allah. 2 -- Second Pillar: Muslims pray 5 times a day facing Mecca. 5 times every day 3 -- Third Pillar: Muslims must give some money to poor or needy people. 4 -- Fourth Pillar: Muslim people do not eat or drink during the day for the month of Ramadan. Day Night 5 -- Fifth Pillar: Muslims must visit Mecca once during their lifetime.
