Halle (Saale) Factory
Halle (Saale) is one of the fastest growing regions
in eastern Germany. The A14 industrial area is
adjacent to the Halle-Ost exit on highway A14
(Dresden-Halle-Magdeburg), close to the A9
(Munich-Halle-Berlin). Halle-Leipzig airport is 12
km away.
Present strong demand from customers in Europe fits
with Greatview's long-term plan to expand here. Halle
represents a long-term commitment to dairy and
beverage companies in this region and in neighboring
markets. We offer a liquid food industry choice that
creates real value.
Greatview Brick Aseptic
Greatview can now supply the majority of its international customers with packaging material from its brand new state of the art
factory in Halle (Saale), Germany. The new converting plant is strategically located in the center of continental Europe and boasts
excellent road and rail connections to dairy and beverage companies throughout the continent. The industrial site is situated just
10 minutes from the Halle-Leipzig airport, to the east of the city of Halle on the A14. Apart from serving European customers, the
facility already supplies packaging material to Greatview’s growing customer base in Russia, the Middle East, North Africa as well
as North and South America via ports in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.
Having began construction in May 2011, Greatview has erected a world-class packaging facility in Halle. We fully expect the factory
to set new standards in European converting productivity. The facility has a 4 billion carton annual production capacity with
potential to expand further to 8 and later 16 billion cartons per annum. Once in full production, Greatview Aseptic Packaging
Manufacturing GmbH will become the group’s primary exporting facility. Management and staff work in close cooperation with
leading industry suppliers throughout the manufacturing process in order to produce top-quality aseptic packaging material,
operating advanced flexo/flexo-process printers, high precision extrusion laminators, in-house ink mixing and plate making.
Greatview customers benefit from a sound environmental policy as well as strict food safety handling procedures according to the
requirements of multinational beverage and dairy groups and the German law. Our raw materials, which include liquid packaging
board, polyethylene and aluminum foil, are carefully selected from renowned industry suppliers from Europe and the US. We are
commited to long-term contracts with these suppliers and can therefore guarantee availability of our packaging material to our
customers. Greatview ensures minimal risk of chemical of damage to the environment by using only water-based inks.
Greatview prides itself on being a market leader in terms of using certified fibers for beverage cartons. 100% of the packaging
material supplied from Halle (Saale) is certified by PEFC, a leading global and industry recognized organization for Forestry Chain
of Custody Certification. Greatview’s international management, financial services, trading and business development will
operating from Winterthur in Switzerland, the head office of Greatview Aseptic Packaging Europe GmbH.
