Group Marketing Co-ordinator
Reports to:
Group Marketing Director
The Group Marketing Co-ordinators role is designed to
provide support to Group Marketing Director(GMD) and
wider Group Marketing function. The ideal candidate should

be keen to be involved in all aspects of the marketing mix and not
be afraid to take on projects using their own initiative. In return
the position offers an excellent opportunity to be at the very heart
of a crucial business function. The tasks involved in the job
ensure that no one day is the same.
The tasks listed below provide an idea of the type of duties and
responsibilities involved in the role. They not exhaustive, nor are
listed in priority.
1.

Sponsorship
Act as the key contact and facilitator for the
activation of the London Irish sponsorship
programme. Ensure that all opportunities are fully
exploited to maximise brand value from the
relationship.
2. Promotional Goods




Principal Duties or
Responsibilities

Liaise with suppliers and negotiate prices, sourcing
new stock as required
Receive orders from regions for promotional stock
items
Package and arrange distribution
Record and monitor stock control levels & recharge
accordingly
Order new stock as required from external
suppliers
3. Copy Writing & Internal comms


Create copy for small internal news items and for
adhoc external marketing material.
Publish the internal staff newsletter via ecomms
using Publisher/Sitecore.
4. Website

Monitor content on company websites and liaise
with the Digital Marketing Manager to ensure
Crest’s online presence is up to date and aligned
with the Crest brand

Monitor all regional adverts on a weekly basis
reporting irregularities to the GMD
Work with the GMD and the Digital Marketing
Manager to produce corporate on and offline
marketing campaigns.
Liaise with regions to plan their site listings for
corporate campaigns, adding to advertising
schedule where appropriate
Liaise and brief creative agency & media buyer to
facilitate advertising.
6. Exhibitions and Events

Assist with the occasional organisation of
exhibitions and events. This may involve work out
of normal office hours.
7. Aggresso


Raise regular purchase orders on the Aggresso
system
Ensure all suppliers are issued PO numbers in line
with company policy
8. Awards




With a partner agency, monitor the opportunities
for entering industry awards and make
recommendations accordingly.
Manage the process of entering awards, including
contributing to content ideas and copy editing
submissions.
Keep the awards database up to date adding new
awards details as and when necessary.
Make necessary arrangements for award dinners if
required.
9. Photography

Ensure the Group Marketing files are kept updated
with recent photography from the divisional
departments.

Brief creative agencies and/or photographers for
photoshoots, attending where necessary.

Manage external imagery requests
10.Charity






Liaise regularly with the Group’s nominated charity
Continue to raise the profile of fund raising across
the business, co-ordinating the activities of all
regional charity champions
Keep the charity page on the company
intranet/website up to date
Organise monthly internal charity events.
Manage the payment of funds raised to the
nominated charity.
Regularly monitor the funds paid in by the
divisional offices and report figures back to the
business.
11. Printed Material



Ensure stock of site brochures is available at Head
Office
Manage the life cycle of corporate printed material
as requested, from creative concept through to print
management with involvement from the GMD.
Undertake content generation and proof reading
when necessary
12. Business Reports (including and not limited to
Annual report and Sustainability report)
 Work with creative agencies to manage the
delivery of reports from initial brief though to
design concepts and final.
 Liaise with assist other departments with imagery
sourcing
 Act as the main point of contact with the
nominated agency
 Assist the DMM with updating online content from
reports.
13.Data Analysis
 Assist with the analysis of customer profiling data
using Excel to create graphical presentation of
results.










Qualifications, experience
and skills
Adhoc administrative tasks as directed by GMD
Manage diary and arrange meetings for GMD
Assist with the organisation of launches and events
as directed
Arrange internal meetings, catering for internal and
external meetings/events
Field all telephone calls/post and screen for
appropriateness.
Manage the general company email inbox and
distribute enquiries throughout the business
accordingly.
Act as a information source for regions and external
enquiries for Marketing related enquiries
Deal with external requests for marketing material ie:
logo requests/corporate information etc
Any other duties as requested

Essential: Educated to degree level in relevant discipline
and have experience in a marketing related role


Excellent communication and copy writing skills
Ability to work as part of a team, alone and with people of
of varying levels of seniority
Meticulous attention to detail


Good IT skills: Microsoft Word; Excel; Power Point,
Publisher etc.

Some knowledge of the construction, house building or
property sectors would be an advantage but not essential
Additional Information

For example, aspects of your
job which are particularly
demanding, mentally or
physically.
Will be required to manage and move marketing and promotional
materials.
