Alan Turing’s Contributions to Artificial
Intelligence: Can Machines Think?
Thursday, 12 April, 16:30-17:30
Alan Turing was one of the pioneers of artificial
intelligence and took an early interest in the question as
to whether it is possible for machinery to show
intelligent behavior. This talk will summarize Alan
Turing’s contributions to the field of artificial
intelligence, including the famous “Turing test”
designed for verifying computers’ ability to exhibit
intelligent behaviour. This event is organized jointly with
CADIA and IIIM. The talk will be addressed to a general
public. Attendance is free to all.
