CALL
2010 ASI Supplier of the Year
A power meeting is simply designed
to break down barriers, correct
any frustrations and find out what
is needed to elevate a partnership
to the next level. Promo Marketing
and partners like Gold Bond really
understand the keys to creating a
successful meeting.
WHAT IS IT?
Some have described power
meetings as pure business
development on both sides of the
fence. Back-to-back 20 minute
meetings may appear to be structured
chaos from afar, but they run as
smooth as silk. The Promo Marketing
team is focused on managing time
and taking care of all the unexpected
issues that could develop.

help the distributor succeed.”

FIRST HAND ACCOUNT
Top 40 Supplier Gold Bond, has
been a long-standing supporter of
Promo Marketing Meetings. Chase
Thompson, Gold Bond Vice President
of Sales, believes Power Meetings
are “the most productive meeting
structure presented in the industry.”
He continued by saying, “Tradeshows
hold their place for showcasing a
product line, but it isn’t where you go
to solve problems. When we attend
Power Meetings our focus is on the
distributor. How do they go about
doing business? What core industries
do they serve? What problems are
the distributors experiencing that are

and how to
do it right
We love the variety of
products that Gold Bond
has, plus the great service!
“In a short 20 minutes the
relationship moved from
being focused on orders
to a foundation for a true
partnership. I look forward
to working more closely with
the Gold Bond team on future
events and programs.”

If you are looking for ways to develop
a more successful distributorship by

leaders like Gold Bond, Promo

I
f you’re convinced cold calling is still a worthwhile sales tactic, don’t look to
Google for affirmation. A search for “cold-calling statistics” turns up a whole
bunch of numbers, most of them overwhelmingly negative. An article titled
“The Horrifying Reality of Cold Calling” (the first Google result) cited a HubSpot survey that found cold calling costs 60 percent more per lead than inbound marketing tactics. One blog cited a study in which 6,264 cold calls yielded 19
appointments—a 0.3 percent success rate. Another site put the success rate at a
much rosier 1 to 3 percent.

The
Top 40 Supplier
“The most productive meeting structure
presented in the industry.” -Chase Thompson, VP of Sales at Gold Bond
The promotional products industry
presents its own unique challenges
including a multitude of suppliers
that present similar if not the same
product. When it comes to creating
relationships that are mutually
beneficial for the supplier and
distributor it is about solutions instead
of product, relationships instead of
price, and simply finding ways to
make it easier to do business. From
the ground up, Promo Marketing
Meetings are designed to make all of
this happen.
