.The
position of Creative Director is present in
Advertising, Web and Software Development, and
most commonly the Entertainment Industry.
.Though
specific expectations vary in each field,
Creative Directors
are always responsible for
overseeing a project from conception to realization
and as a result, are regarded responsible for the
overall quality of the finish piece.
Salary & Benefits
.Due
to the significance and responsibility,
Seasoned Creative Directors can earn between
$62,798 to $200,000 annually.
.Freelancing Creative Directors, who are employed
for specific projects usually earn an average of
$95,000. Though, job opportunities may be more
difficult to find.
.Benefits
vary depending on Company policy,
however Freelance Creative Directors can become
members of the Freelancers Union to obtain
standard benefits.
Future Outlook
.From
2006 to 2016, there is a projected
increase of 12.8% for the employment rate of
Creative Directors.

Opportunities for Advancement
.Because of the required level of experience, there is rarely
advancement beyond the position of Creative Director.
Although there are variations in each company, most
Creative Directors remain in their position, and receive
raises in annual income.
.Because Creative Directors must make sure the intention
of a client is considered in each step, bonds and
relationships often form. This increases the chances of job
security, as a company may benefit by an employed
Creative Directors reputation and contacts.
