However, you can still turn in all the questions at once on May 10th. The questions must be submitted by either e-mail to: [email protected] or in person at Al-Hidaya Center. Make sure you write your answers neatly. If the judges cannot read your hand writing, you will be automatically disqualified. Every Imam of the capital region should be allowed to help guide students to a proper source, where in which the answers are found. And all the honorable Imams of the community are humbly requested “NOT” to answer any question “Directly”. The team of “Islamic Knowledge Competition” has tried its best to derive questions from Islamic Books that are contemporary and easy to find and use, and that are translated into the English language. Note, many of these books are in fact translated into the English language, however there are some books that are not. (The list of the books are in the references.) We all know that many of the questions for the “Competition” could possibly be answered via your individual research on the computer. However, there are some Islamic matters which go under a dispute amongst the Scholars. In such cases, we strongly recommend that a student seek a guide, leading him/her to a genuine answer. Thus, one of the aims behind this “Competition” is to help guide us to find proper sources for our Islamic knowledge and avoid anecdotal information. Based on this factor, the Leadership Team has requested the Imams and teachers of the local Masajid, to help us in this aspect of the competition. Hence, we strongly encourage the students to have strong understanding of the matters.
