JOB DESCRIPTION - MARKETING MANAGER Reports to: Executive Director Objectives To develop marketing activity to recognise the needs, wants and demands of the market sectors the Suffolk Agricultural Association currently operates in, both now and in the future. To create innovative marketing campaigns across the Association’s activities including, the Suffolk Show, education, Trinity Park Events Ltd (the Commercial business of the Association) and Membership of the Association. Main Duties and Responsibilities At all times convey and promote the SAA’s and Trinity Park’s core values, aspirations and brand. To develop a full marketing communications plan and budget for the Suffolk Agricultural Association including component parts for the: o Membership; o the Suffolk Show; o educational activities; o Trinity Park Events Ltd. To produce innovative marketing material and advertising campaigns to promote the charitable and business activities above, supported by PR initiatives. Develop a consumer orientated website for the SAA and ensure it is regularly updated. Develop a linked website for TPEL with both corporate and consumer aspects. To appoint and manage the website agency tasked with undertaking web optimisation campaigns. To jointly manage the PR consultant in conjunction with the Commercial Manager on TPEL related projects. Membership – to maintain and grow membership of the Association which could include loyalty schemes, membership newsletter, social events, etc. To develop and maintain the Association’s membership database, providing marketing intelligence. Suffolk Show – to liaise with the Executive Director to produce a Communications Plan and advertising and marketing strategy to ensure maximum publicity for the Suffolk show, including implementation. To Liaise with the Commercial Manager providing marketing support to the sales activity of Trinity Park Events Ltd. To develop the market intelligence of the TPEL client database system and target markets. To evaluate all marketing activity and make recommendations. Maintaining accurate administration records. To comply with the Association’s health and safety policy. To liaise with other members of the team in the production of marketing activity. To perform any other reasonable tasks asked by the Executive Director or Commercial Manager.
