Agreatdealofresearchoverthepastfewdecadeshasbeendevotedtothestudyofaginginhumansandmodelorganisms.Despite
thesteadilyincreasingfoundationofresearch,verylittleisknownaboutitsbiologicalmechanisms.Manygeneshavebeenimplicated
intheprocessofaging,largelythroughtheuseofmodelorganisms,suchasC.elegans,D.melanogaster,andM.musculus.Although
thesegenesshedlightontheagingprocess,thevastmajoritydonottranslatetoothermodelorganisms,andevenfewertohumans.A
fewputativegenesfoundtoaffectaginghavebeenindentifiedinhumans,butmuchremainstobediscovered.Inthisstudy,we
comparedtwogenesetsassociatedwithaging,GenAge(humanrelatedgenes),andAnAge(aginggenesinanimalmodels),inorderto
determineifthegenesetsfromdifferentorganismscarriedanyfunctionalsimilarities.Comparisonswereperformedusinggene
ontologyandingenuitypathwayanalysis.Additionally,eachgenesetwasusedtotrainEndeavourtoseeifcommongeneswere
predictedfromthegenesets.Theresultsshowcommonalitiesbetweenanimalmodelsandhumansandmayprovideamechanismfor
inferringtheappropriateaginggenesinhumans.
