Roger G. Coffin
Roger G. Coffin, is a Managing Partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers U.S. Regulatory
Advisory Practice and a member of the PwC Global Regulatory Leadership team. Mr.
Coffin has twenty years experience working with financial institutions on regulatory,
compliance and control issues. Mr. Coffin is responsible for managing the firm’s
investment management and securities industry practice in addition to working with
banking organizations on a variety of regulatory, risk management and control matters.
Prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr. Coffin was a senior official with the U.S.
Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, DC working on financial services
regulatory and oversight programs, crisis resolution, major enforcement matters and
congressional liaison. Mr. Coffin was an architect of the joint forum of banking and
securities supervisors that reviewed the activities of institutions with global capital
markets activities, and served as a liaison to IOSCO and Basle Committee. His clients
have included global investment banks, financial holding companies and affiliated
broker-dealers, and numerous other financial institutions. He is a frequent industry
speaker and commentator and is a Board member of the Securities Industry Association’s
Financial Management Division and the Duke University Global Capital Markets Center.
Prior to his government service, Mr. Coffin practiced securities and banking law at a
major Wall Street law firm.
