Marketing Mentors Westmeath County Enterprise Board 1. Catalyst (Rob Marr) Rob has worked in a variety of sectors including Leisure, Retail, Semi State and Government run organisations. He has also delivered training, coaching and mentoring in manufacturing, food and extensively in the Construction industry. He is a member of The Marketing Institute and ISME as well as rapidly becoming an increasingly active member of the Drogheda Chamber of Commerce. He has Diplomas in Sales Management and Coaching and Mentoring and also gives motivational and business development talks to a diverse range of groups. 2. Engage Ireland (Sarah Bohan) Managing Director of Engage Ireland in Dublin, Sarah Bohan holds a B.Comm from UCC, with a major in marketing. Having worked as a brand manager with Musgrave Group (SuperValu/Centra) and with the Special Olympics World Summer Games, Sarah established Engage Ireland over five years ago, to provide a marketing, PR and enterprise support service (www.engageireland.com). Sarah has worked on marketing, PR and sponsorship projects with the following organisations: BWG Foods Ltd (SPAR/EUROSPAR & MACE) Fresh – The Good Food Market (gourmet supermarket group in Dublin) Tidy Towns Unit at the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government Mondial Assistance Ireland (part of the Allianz Group) County & City Enterprise Boards (PR for National Enterprise Awards and Student Enterprise Awards) Louth CraftMark (craft design network and retail outlet) Sarah is a member of the Marketing Institute of Ireland and the D15 Chamber Council in Dublin. 3. Tony Mc Nally With a long-standing career of over 35 years, in creating new markets and securing market distribution for products, Tony Mc Nally has a wealth of practical experience and know-how that will be of value to any business that needs to increase market share. A diverse career, but all focused on significantly increasing sales for his clients’ products, Tony has delivered on projects including the launch of Milupa Baby Foods on the Irish market and he has excellent experience in the non-food and DIY sectors which resulted in growing sales from a stand start to a turnover of €10m in 2007. What ever the scale of your business, whether supplying a local market or if you need to get your product into every shop in Ireland, Tony will be delighted to mentor you. His mentoring is applicable to either a product or service driven business and is appropriate for new or existing enterprises. 4. NLC Training (Terry Harmer) After a period working in a family furniture business. Terry entered the insurance industry, and built a career (from Salesman to General Manager) on strengths in training & development, people management and leadership skills. In 1991, he formed NLC and began training sales, management and communication, on a contract basis, operating initially in financial services, but quickly moving into a much broader field covering a wide range of businesses in sales, services, retail and manufacturing. He specialises in designing and implementing training programmes using best practice initiatives, to train Sales, Customer Service, Communications, Teambuilding, Leadership, and People Management. Terry Harmer is a Member of the Institute of Training & Development (MIITD), a Fellow of the Sales Institute of Ireland, (FSII), a Member of the Marketing Institute of Ireland, (MMII), and a Licensed Practitioner of NLP, (NLP Prac.). He holds a BSc. in Business Administration, and a Certificate in Training & Continuing Education, and is also an assessor for the Excellence Through People programme. 5. Dara Marketing (Dara O’Reilly Daly) Dara has over 10 years senior management experience in the highly competitive Irish construction industry managing both the marketing and communications functions of a well known multinational. Her expertise centres on growing and enhancing both retail and trade brands in a dynamic and extremely competitive market to drive sales growth, brand awareness and competitive advantage. Dara runs her own successful marketing and PR company which assists small to medium size businesses, from a diversity of industries, to deliver sales growth and profitability even in difficult economic times, through exceeding customer expectations, understanding the market dynamics and realising all opportunities for growth. She also is involved in delivering sales and marketing training courses to SMEs and business start-ups imparting practical business solutions and tools. Her approach to business and each of the clients she works with is to take a holistic view of their business, the markets they are currently targeting and introduce new and improved ways of communicating, promoting and delivering value back to all stakeholders. She fully understands the growing need of businesses to decrease their costs whilst increasing their profile and the bottom line. 6. Padraig Cleary (Mayday Management Consultants) Padraig Cleary is a Marketing Consultant and Marketing Trainer. He has 26 years experience operating at owner, CEO, board and management team levels in sectors as diverse as international pharmacy, high tech SME’s and not for profit medical institutions. Padraig operates in a lead marketing and consultancy role to SME’s under FAS Services to Business initiatives in the Mid West and South West regions. Sectors of particular interest include Tourism, Hospitality, Manufacturing and B2B Services. Padraig is an award winning marketer with extensive experience and ability to work and deliver results for small and medium businesses.
